We have been so busy with the launch of I Love Making Stuff, that I almost forgot about a very important birthday! Luckliy I had an old magazine and a gluestick. Look how great my card turned out and it is completely recycled! Happy Birthday!

We really love type and we really love circles, so this just came naturally! How awesome is this bag! We have many mesh bags that are still blank so if you are interested in having a letter added, let us know!

Smaller scale collage lends itself well to collaboration. During a zine workshop (a zine is a self-published, underground mini-magazine) an assortment of artists and creative types gather around one large table, sharing in the creative experience. A particular kind of energy occurs in the process. The experience nurtures synergy and courage. And it’s really fun! We hope to inspire you to come to one of our Zine classes. After 1 you’ll be hooked!

These hand painted shoulder bags display universal design elements. The circle’s classical themes of infinity and perfection elevate the re-purposed materials. Made from outdoor advertising banners, which I have up-cycled into utilitarian art. One of these bags can be seen at the Encinitas Library Environment Day Exhibit and they are for sale. Contact us if you are interested in purchasing one and let us know if you would like a custom design for a gift! We’d be happy to create a fabulous one for you!

The circle is a perfect form. Circle motifs appear in much of my work, and here in my collages. These abstract compositions build dramatic tension with rich colors and contrasting shapes producing visual depth, texture, shape, color— through the use of overlay and attention to form. If you ask me there is nothing as fun as the process of collage!

I know I am on to something and I really can’t stop this thing. I am hooked, so for now I am making as many recycled, circle collages as I can. They take so much time. They are so much fun to make. In fact I think I will go to the studio now! Hope you get as much pleasure just looking at it. Enjoy!
