Inspired by my trip to Spacecraft in Brooklyn, I made some paper-mâché lamps. The lamps turned out great, using tissue paper, “Chinese New Year” metallic paper and printed vellum. The light shines through the paper and creates awesome ambiance! We will be creating a class based on our super-duper technique! Be on the lookout for it!

If you have old Holiday cards that you’ve been collecting… or you’re just into recycling, please think of donating them to I Love Making Stuff for our upcoming workshop or for those in the future.

Have you always wanted to learn screen printing but found that all the kits were too expensive, and the materials too toxic? We can show you how to create beautiful prints inexpensively with a tiny carbon foot print. All water based, simple and fast! A few samples of our students work, from our last Screen Printing Workshop. You can make something this cool too, sign up for our newsletter!

Aw aren’t these pups the cutest! Hand crafted for a 70th birthday celebration. These postcards are just the sweetest way to say hello to a friend or tell someone you love them… and their dog. If you love these cute puppy cards too, you can learn how to make them by taking a screen printing workshop with I Love Making Stuff.

As you could probably already tell….WE ARE IN LOVE WITH OUR NEW SCREEN PRINTING TECHNIQUE! Here is something we did in the studio recently. Isn’t it lovely. Wouldn’t you love to have this in your home. We will be selling these and other one of a kind screen prints at Del Mar’s upcoming Taste and Art Stroll in October.

This past weekend we held our first screen printing workshop! It was such a blast! Our students learned how to build their own screen, use paper templates and print. We avoid using the harsh chemicals of normal screen printing and our process can be done at home! Our class was so cool that we are thinking of having it on a monthly basis!
The next couple of blogs will be focused on our new passion, keep checking back to see all the crazy cool things you can do with just a screen, paper and some ink!
